PSG 3-1

Reason for tip

Both teams have scored in the last six meetings between these two so take Lille to play their part, the last meeting was a 3-1 win for PSG and a repeat of that scoreline is the selection.

Lille vs PSG Predictions

  • Six of Paris Saint-Germain’s last eight Ligue 1 games have had four or more goals
  • Paris Saint-Germain have won and both teams have scored in four of their last six Ligue 1 away games
  • Both teams have scored in the last six meetings between these two

High-scoring affair fancied

Paris Saint-Germain have started life without Kylian Mbappe in blistering style, netting ten times in their first two Ligue 1 games of the new campaign.

While they will undoubtedly miss their former superstar, his off the field distractions overshadowed the team much of the time and his departure has allowed players like Bradley Barcola to shine, the youngster has three goals in two league outings.

They take on Lille in this clash and they too have started the season strongly, winning back-to-back league games 2-0 against Angers and Reims respectively.

Along with that, the hosts have gotten the better of Fenerbahce and Slavia Prague en route to qualification for the Champions League group stages.

Jonathan David has been in fine form, resisting the distraction of transfer rumours to net three times in six games for his club this term.

The home side should be able to contribute to what looks set to be a high-scoring affair. Six of PSG’s last eight league games have gone over 3.5 goals and with Lille in fine form themselves, they can both play their part in a thriller.

The visitors won 3-1 in the last meeting between these two and a repeat of that scoreline looks possible.
