      Under 1.5 Match Goals

      Reason for tip

Larne will hope to stay in the tie before next week’s return leg in Antrim, but this is a class between two pretty poor teams, who struggle to score goals. Taking under 1.5 goals look the best way to play the first leg.

      Draw 0-0

      Reason for tip

Lincoln Red Imps and Larne have goalscoring problems and the two sides are lacking quality. Larne will look to keep things tight in a crucial first leg at Victoria Stadium and no goalscorer rates a runner.

Lincoln Red Imps FC vs Larne Predictions

      • Lincoln Red Imps have scored just four times in six European matches this season
      • Larne have found the net just four times in the first seven matches of the season
      • Larne have failed to score in four of their last five games.

Solid defences tough to breach on the rock

Larne were narrowly denied by Iberia 1999 in the third qualifying round of the Europa League and the consolation prize is a crack at Lincoln Red Imps and a spot in the Conference League.

The Northern Ireland champions played out a 0-0 draw with Iberia 1999 at Inver Park, before falling 2-1 in Georgia. That narrow loss followed 4-0 and 5-0 defeats to Red Star in the Champions League qualifiers and 1-0 and 2-1 wins over Tre Fiori in the same competition.

The Antrim aces were held to a 0-0 draw at Coleraine in their opening Premiership contest of the campaign on Saturday and a lack of goals is a recurring theme for Gary Haveron’s men.

Larne have hit the net only four times in their opening seven matches of the season and it was a surprise that forward Andy Ryan, who scored 17 goals in 17 appearances for the Antrim side last season, was allowed to leave for William Hill League One Hamilton in the summer.

New attacking arrivals Montel Gibson and Kevin O’Hara are yet to score for the club and another low-scoring contest is anticipated in Gibraltar.

Lincoln Red Imps have scored just four times in their six European contests this term and Juanma Pavon’s side could hit only three shots and one effort on target in their 1-0 loss to Omonia Nicosia in the Europa League last time out.
