Linfield vs Bodo Glimt Predictions
- Linfield are on a run just of two victories in their last ten European ties
- Bodo Glimt have won seven of their last nine games
- Linfield have managed just two victories in 14 home European games since 2000
Linfield look up against it
Linfield scraped into the second qualifying round for the Champions League by beating Welsh champions TNS, but they required extra time to get through, with both legs finished 1-0 after 90 minutes.
The Northern Irish outfit have never got past this stage of the competition, running into the likes of Celtic (2017/18) and AEL Limassol (2012/13) before suffering heavy exits.
Their record in European football is not strong, picking up just two victories in their last ten games, while only a couple of their last 14 home ties have ended in victory.
Bodo Glimt looking sharp?
Bodo Glimt should be more match ready for this tie given they are mid-season back in Norway, where they sit in fourth place in the Eliteserien.
Kjetil Knutsen’s side reached this stage by beating Faroe Islands outift KÍ 4-3 on aggregate, and they have been strong in Europe lately, reaching the Conference League quarter-finals last year.
The Norwegians are also on a run of seven wins in their last nine matches, while six of their last nine away fixtures have ended in victory.
I predict that Bodo Glimt will win this game, with 2-0 my correct score prediction.
