LAFC to rebound following shock loss

LAFC suffered a shock loss to struggling Portland Timbers last week thanks to a last second goal, bringing an end to their winning streak. They’ve still won four of their last six games though and the hosts will be confident of picking up another win here. They have struggled slightly for goals this season though, scoring just 18 times; a far cry from the quality they usually exude in the final third.

Vancouver were on an awful run of form for much of the season, including a period of five losses in a row. They have now lost just one of their last five games however, moving off the bottom of the table and looking a lot more confident as a result. They’ve averaged a goal a game this season but have conceded 23 times at the other end of the pitch, including nine in their last five games.

LAFC will be expecting to win this game and we’re thinking they should be winners but it could be a little uncomfortable along the way. Vancouver look so much more confident in recent weeks and with their goal scoring record improving but their defensive worries continuing, we’re backing both teams to score in this game. LAFC should be strong enough to pick up the win, especially with Vancouver winning just three points on the road this season and we’re forecasting a 2-1 win for the home side.
