- Stockport have now gone five games unbeaten and sit in 8th position, just outside the playoff places.

Maidenhead need a win to move out of relegation zone
Maidenhead United have had a poor season, struggling to get out of the relegation zone and picking up too many losses. They’ve now lost four in a row with fellow strugglers Aldershot and Ebbsfleet both beating them in that time. They are desperately in need of points as the end of the season approaches and relegation looms.
Maidenhead have scored 43 times this season and have only managed to score four times in their last give games, less than a goal a game. Defensively the side have been poor with 56 goals conceded, an average of 1.51 goals per game, and this has also got worse over their past five games with the side conceding at a rate of 1.6 goals per game.
Consistent Stockport looking for another win
Stockport have enjoyed their 2019/20 season so far, sitting just outside the playoffs and with the race for the top seven so tight they stand a great chance of playing in the end of season competition. In the past five weeks they haven’t tasted defeat, winning twice and picking up creditable draws with Barnet and Woking and they will be keen to keep that run going against relegation threatened opposition.
The side have scored 49 times this season, a little lower than they would’ve liked, averaging 1.28 goals per game but they’ve struggled to match that average over the past five weeks, scoring just a goal a game despite their good form. They have also conceded a little too many with 53 goals being shipped, the second highest total in the top half.
Stockport to add another win to their season
Stockport should be coming into this game anticipating all three points with Maidenhead really struggling at the moment. We think that the visitors should be able to return north following the game with the win and they represent good value on the full time market, where we’re backing them.
It should be a reasonably easy victory for Stockport but we can see Maidenhead getting on the scoresheet as they put up a little fight in their relegation battle. Stockport should be too strong for United this weekend though and we’re backing the visitors to come out as 2-1 winners.
