It’s been a strange run for Malaga, who have drawn three of their last five matches 1-1, while keeping only one clean sheet in their last dozen outings.

Seven of those games have seen both teams score, as have five of their last eight fixtures on home soil, where their only defeat in the most recent seven of those clashes has come against high-flying Eibar.

Visitors Alaves on the other hand are on a wretched run, losing three games in a row, two of which have seen both teams score, slipping down the table in the process.

Indeed, Luis García’s side have one of the poorer away records in the Segunda, winning three times in ten attempts, with six of those games seeing both teams net.
