Mallorca vs Barcelona Predictions
- Four of Mallorca’s last six games have produced under 2.5 goals
- Barcelona have won just one of their last four contests
- Mallorca have lost only two of their last six assingments
Barcelona’s title push takes a knock
Barcelona’s title push in La Liga took another knock on Saturday, when the Catalan giants lost 2-1 at home to Las Palmas, and they could again be frustrated away to Mallorca on Tuesday.
That loss on Saturday, despite Barcelona winning the shot count 27-5, means Hansi Flick’s men have gone three league games without a win.
That has invited Real Madrid back into the title race and they will be feeling the pressure when they travel to the Estadi Mallorca Son Moix in midweek.
Mallorca’s defence can stand firm
Mallorca themselves have ambitions of playing in the Champions League and moved up to fifth spot in La Liga following a 2-1 win over Valencia on Friday night.
Key to their ascension up the table has been a rock-solid rearguard which has conceded only 13 times in 15 matches.
They have shown they can mix it with bigger clubs this season, beating Real Sociedad 1-0 in September, drawing 0-0 with Athletic Bilbao in October and battling well in a 1-0 loss to Atletico Madrid last month.
They know how to keep things tight and can fluster a vulnerable Barcelona side, so back under 2.5 goals.
As for a correct score bet, it is hard to get behind Barcelona at the moment and a 1-1 draw is the way to play it.
