Mallorca vs Sevilla Predictions

Can Mallorca get an important win?

Mallorca have had a decent start to the season, picking up nine points from their opening eight games, but clean sheets have been a problem at Son Moix, where they have conceded in three of their four games.

Javier Aguirre’s side have seen both teams score in two of those matches, as well as four of their last seven at all venues, most recently a 1-1 draw at Elche.

They don’t have a great record against Sevilla though, who they have beaten just once in the last nine league meetings, with both teams scoring in eight of the last 13.

Sevilla under new management

Jorge Sampaoli has picked up successive 1-1 draws, against Athletic Bilbao and Borussia Dortmund, since returning to take charge of Sevilla for a second time earlier this month.

That means ‘Los Nervionenses’ have seen both teams score in four of their last five games, failing to keep a clean sheet in either of those outings.

They have though got a fairly decent away record this season, drawing three in a row since a 3-2 victory at Espanyol in early September.

I predict that both teams will score in this game, but I think Sevilla might get that first win under Sampaoli, with 2-1 my correct score prediction.
