A shock 4-2 defeat at the hands of struggling Huddersfield last week seriously dented Middlesbrough’s promotion hopes, and they head into Friday six points behind second placed Sheffield United.

Michael Carrick’s side have certainly proved they know where the back of the net is recently, but they have defensive issues too, with both teams netting in six of their last nine outings.

Will Burnley seal the deal?

While Middlesbrough are chasing the top two, Burnley sit pretty in first place and a victory in this game would confirm their return to the Premier League, depending on Luton’s result against Millwall.
