MK Dons vs Burnley Betting Tips

The Dons are slowly warming to the task of Championship football and have been much more competitive in recent weeks and only 1 of their last 12 matches has resulted in defeat by more than 1 goal which  is a big improvement given they were looking a little out of their depth at this level prior to that.

They’ve picked up some crucial wins and just enough points to leave them 2 points outside the drop-zone. Their home form has been strong and they’ve taken 10 points from their last 5 games at Stadium mk and have won their last two against sides challenging for play-off places in the form of Cardiff and Sheffield Wednesday.

That should give them confidence ahead of the visit of a Burnley side that are currently in 5th place and picked up an excellent win at Middlesbrough in the FA Cup on Saturday. They’ve taken 7 points from their last 4 games in the league which was important after their recent slump in form.

However both victories were at home and they’ve not won any of their last 5 away games in the league and have suffered defeats in their last two. With MK Dons looking better at home, backing the hosts to avoid defeat here at 4/6 might be a smart move.

A win might be beyond them though as Burnley do have the greater quality but having scored only twice in their last 5 away in the league aren’t playing well enough on the road to grab all the points either. The draw stands out as the most obvious result here and backing a 1-1 draw at 5/1 might be the way to go.
