MK Dons vs Cardiff Betting Tips

It has been a tough season so far for Milton Keynes Dons, their first at this level but they have picked up just enough wins along the way to keep their heads just above water and there has been the odd sign in recent weeks that they are improving and starting to adapt to the demands of the division.

They’ve taken 8 points from their last 8 matches with wins coming at home against Charlton and in their last game at Stadium MK, against Sheffield Wednesday. The games they have lost have all be competitive affairs and that will give confidence to Karl Robinson that his side are capable of doing a bit more than just playing pretty possession football that all too often doesn’t actually lead anywhere.

Cardiff are a strange sort of side and it can be hard to know what you’re going to get from them. In October and November they were keeping things very tight at the back but struggling badly for goals and drawing too many games to really put themselves in the promotion picture.

They then seemed to opt for a change of ploy that brought more attacking football and more goals at both ends and ultimately more points as the Bluebirds took 8 points from 4 games to move up towards the top six but a 1-0 defeat at out-of-form Birmingham last time out has halted their progress.

Away from home they do tend to struggle and they’ve only won twice on the road in 12 matches this term and have lost 3 of their last 4. They also lost to MK Dons on this ground back in August in the Capital One Cup and backing the hosts to win again at 5/6 in the ‘draw no bet’ market looks a good shout here.

It’s unlikely to be convincing but MK Dons might just nick this 1-0 at 13/2 and add to Cardiff’s frustration.
