Heavyweights Molde can cruise past KFUM

Five-time Eliteserien champions Molde haven fallen away from the title picture with recent results but they can get back on the right track by beating division newcomers KFUM on Saturday.

Erling Moe’s men have drawn two and lost one of their last six – with the sole defeat coming in a shock 4-2 loss to struggling Sarpsborg in May – but they were victorious in their last home outing in a 3-0 win over mid-table Lillestrom.

KFUM have enjoyed their top flight debut this season 18 points from 15 games leaving the side in eight in the Eliteserien but their recent form has seen them win just one of their last six games – coming in a 2-1 victory at Tromso last time out.

Molde will provide one of the sternest tests in KFUM’s history and they may struggle to rise to the occasion against the Norwegian giants. With clean sheets kept in each of their last three matches, Molde will be a tough nut to crack and the hosts should have enough about them to claim a comfortable victory, with our prediction being a 2-0 home win.
