Monaco looking to continue European march

Monaco suffered continental disappointment as they were knocked out of the Europa League on penalties by Bayer Leverkusen but they are still in a strong position to land a Champions League spot for next season after winning 16 of their first 28 games of the campaign.

The Monegasques are the second-top scorers in the division behind Paris Saint Germain and are chasing down Marseille and Lens ahead of them in the Ligue 1 table. Their form has been better away from home than it has in their own back yard but they have a good opportunity to put that right against strugglers Strasbourg.

Strasbourg lacking consistency

Strasbourg finished sixth last season but have come nowhere near repeating that feat this time around as they fight against relegation. The visitors have only won five games all season and went into the international break three points off the drop zone.

Away from has been an issue for the strugglers throughout the season and they were also beaten 2-1 by Monaco in the reverse fixture.
