Monaco can claim narrow victory

Monaco look the best bet when they host Strasbourg on Saturday. Adi Hutter’s side have been strong at home this season, winning 11 of their 15 Ligue 1 games at Stade Louis II, while Strasbourg have won six of their 15 away matches.

The hosts are second in Ligue 1, four places and three points above sixth-placed Strasbourg, with 16 wins from their 29 games. This season, 32 (52%) of the 61 games between teams in the top half of the Ligue 1 table have been home wins.

Monaco bounced back in style from defeat by Brest two weeks ago to beat Marseille 3-0 in their last Ligue 1 game. While they were even-money favourites to win that contest, that was still an excellent result for Monaco, who triumphed with something to spare.

They will be confident of scoring, having found the net in 18 of their last 19 league games. This includes an impressive 7-1 victory over Nantes in February.

The hosts are in fine fettle. Monaco have won four of their last six in Ligue 1 and are unbeaten in six of the last seven meetings with Strasbourg. They’ve also won their last seven Ligue 1 home games in which they were odds-on.

A narrow 1-0 success for the hosts appeals as the correct-score bet given they’ve kept clean sheets in two of their last three at Stade Louis II.
