      Napoli vs Club Brugge Predictions

This is the first competitive clash between these two clubs and it promises to be an intriguing one. Purely based n pedigree and recent performances, Napoli ought to be strong favourites to advance from a group that includes Club Brugge, Legia Warsaw and FC Midtjylland.

However, Napoli’s Serie A form has not been particularly impressive and there are early signs of adjustments taking time to be implemented after a summer where the manager’s position transitioned from Rafa Benitez to Maurizio Sarri.

They’ve lost one and drawn two of their first three games. In each of their last two games, they’ve shown an ability to score goals, but they’ve also struggled to keep the ball out of their own net, drawing both games 2-2. Those two matchups hardly came against attacking power houses either in Sampdoria and Empoli. It’s a problem that could cost them in Europa League play too.

Club Brugge reached the quarter-final stage of this competition last season, but they haven’t performed at a particularly high standard through the early part of this season winning just three of their first seven games and currently being placed outside of the Belgian Pro League’s top six. They do have 14 goals in those seven goals, but the match-up against Napoli should present a stiffer test.

      Three Reasons for Betting Tips

      1. Napoli’s defensive frailty

They have struggled to find the right defensive balance all season long. In fact, they’ve been downright poor at times, careless with the ball, bad against set pieces and disappointing in just about every other way. We think they’ll struggle to defend a lead against Club Brugge in this opener.

      2. Club Brugge Europa League experience

This squad hasn’t changed too much from the one that made it to the quarter-finals last year and there’s good Europa League experience throughout the lineup. They won’t be overwhelmed by this occasion in any shape or form.

      3. Belgian Pro League depth

It isn’t one of Europe’s big leagues, but the Belgian Pro League is deeper and better than many give it credit for. Club Brugge won’t be outclassed here.
