Napoli to work for their win

Third in Serie A, Napoli welcome a Como side just eight points behind them for this Coppa Italia last-eight clash and the chance to face Inter Milan in the semis.

Napoli made a shaky start to 2026, winning just once in seven at one point in a hectic January where they played nine games.

They needed a last-minute penalty to win 3-2 at Genoa on Saturday and may have to work hard to see off Como.

Visitors can play their part

Como were in free-scoring form in recent weeks, scoring 12 times in three games, but they were frustrated by 10-man Atalanta in their most recent outing.

Their first Serie A visit to Naples in two decades ended in a 3-1 loss here in October 2024, though they improved on that to get a draw in November, a contest in which Alvaro Morata missed from the spot for the visitors. They can make this hard for Napoli but Antonio Conte’s side can edge the verdict.
