AC Milan will be confident of extending their unbeaten start to the Serie A season to eight matches when they visit an Udinese side in free fall.

Udinese are on a five-match losing run and have lost three on the bounce at Stadio Friuli, failing to score in their two most recent home defeats against Cagliari and Lecce.

The Bianconeri have also lost the last three times Milan have visited Udine, with the visitors scoring at least three goals in each of those victories.

Quick turnaround should be no issue for visitors

Milan were in good form under Ruben Amorim prior to Thursday’s Europa League defeat at Bournemouth, but there were extenuating circumstances for that loss, namely the first-half sending off of goalkeeper Mike Maignan.

Amorim’s men have drawn their last three road games in Serie A and there was no disgrace in sharing the spoils at Juventus, high-flying Lazio or a Sassuolo side that previously boasted a 100% record on home soil.

The trip to the Vitality Stadium has left little turnaround time for the Rossoneri, but four wins in their last five against Udinese, who are Serie A’s most out of form side, suggests they can win this one and keep a clean sheet.
