Norway vs Italy Predictions
- Norway have won their last four matches.
- Italy are winless in their last three games.
- Norway have scored at least two goals in six of their last seven games.
Hosts to claim vital three points
Norway have won their last four competitive matches and look good value to clinch a valuable win over an Italy side that may not be full strength on Friday.
Five of Gli Azzurri’s squad play for clubs involved in last weekend’s Champions League final and may be given some much-needed rest in Oslo, while the hosts boast an attacking lineup consisting of Alexander Sorloth and Erling Haaland and are almost at full strength for this round of qualifiers.
Stale Solbakken’s side haven’t lost a home game in over a year and have won six of their last seven overall. They haven’t beaten Italy in over 25 years, but Luciano Spalletti has overseen defeats to France and Germany in recent months. If the likes of Gianluigi Donnarumma, Alexander Bastoni, Federico Dimarco, and Nicholas Barella are rested, another defeat could be on the cards.
Norway have scored at least twice in six of their last seven games, but I don’t see them keeping a clean sheet against the talented Italy, so a 2-1 correct score prediction may be worth a punt.
