Norwich vs Wrexham Predictions
- Wrexham’s Championship matches have been averaging 3.80 goals per game since their promotion.
- Norwich are winless at Carrow Road this season after three games at that venue in league and cup.
- Wrexham scored two goals in three of their last four fixtures in the Championship.
Goals markets are of interest at Carrow Road
Ambitious Wrexham have been an entertaining addition to the Championship since their summer promotion, with their cavalier approach under Phil Parkinson producing a glut of goals so far, and excitement levels could be high again when the Red Dragons visit Norwich.
Hollywood-backed Wrexham have tried to go toe-to-toe with every team they’ve faced this term, though they’ve been suffering defensively as a consequence and they’ve conceded more in expected goals (11.1) and more shots per game on average (20.2) than any other side in the division.
Wrexham have completed seven games in league and cup overall, and six of those matches went over 2.5 goals, with five of the same matches seeing at least four goals. Wrexham also conceded at least twice in all but one of those seven assignments, but hit back with at least two goals of their own on five separate occasions.
Parkinson is unlikely to change tack on Saturday, so bettors should expect more chaos when Wrexham make the 300-mile trek to Norwich.
The Canaries have had defensive issues of their own and though they have conceded a relatively modest six goals in five league games, City rank second-last behind Wrexham for expected goals against (10.70).
New signing Vladan Kovacevic has been in impressive form between the sticks, saving 64.7% of the shots on target he’s faced so far, and without his reflexes, the figure in Norwich’s goals-against column would have been fatter.
Both Norwich and Wrexham have been conceding too many chances this season, so a dip into the over 2.5 goals market for their encounter could be the way to go, with a 2-2 draw offered for our correct score prediction.
Norwich are winless at Carrow Road since the summer, while Wrexham’s Championship fixtures have been averaging 3.80 goals and we expect the visitors to trade blows with City in Norfolk.
