Gers likely to be too strong

Rangers are once again playing catch-up to bitter rivals Celtic after their recent Old Firm derby loss, but our prediction is for them to maintain their pursuit with a routine win over Hibernian on Sunday.

The Gers also have Aberdeen ahead of them in the Premiership standings but they are in decent shape having won their last three matches following that defeat at Celtic.

A more comfortable victory here may have been the tip but a degree of caution is advised as Rangers had to deal with a tricky trip to Sweden on Thursday.

However, Gers ran out 2-0 winners in their Europa League contest with Malmo, and there is plenty of confidence in the Ibrox camp.

Hibs could have their say

Rangers have won three of their last four meetings with Hibs while keeping a clean sheet, but we predict at least one goal for the visitors on Sunday.

Thursday’s European adventure could play its part this weekend, and it would be no surprise to see the Glasgow giants start off slowly and possibly run out of steam in the latter stages.

In between they should be strong enough to get on top of a side who have won just one of their last six matches, and a 3-1 scoreline is advised for correct score punters.
