Nottingham Forest To Win To Nil

Reason for tip

This is the kind of game Nottingham Forest must win if they are to make it into the top five of the Premier League this season and they are a solid bet to defeat already-relegated Leicester without conceding. The Foxes have failed to score in nine of their last 11 league fixtures.

Nottingham Forest 2-0

Reason for tip

Nottingham Forest were 3-1 winners over Leicester earlier this season and could again win by a margin of two goals. This time around, 2-0 looks like an appropriate correct-score pick given that four of Forest’s last five games have featured under 2.5 goals.

Anthony Elanga To Score Anytime

Reason for tip

Anthony Elanga has been a livewire on the flank for Nottingham Forest this season and, while he is known for his chance creation, he can get on the scoresheet in this contest and add to his tally of six Premier League goals.

Nottingham Forest vs Leicester City Predictions

  • Leicester have lost 12 of their 17 away games in the Premier League
  • Only Liverpool (14) have kept more league clean sheets than Nottingham Forest (13)
  • Leicester have lost ten of their last 12 Premier League matches
  • Anthony Elanga has struck six Premier League goals this season

Foxes unlikely to cause a stir against Midlands rivals

Leicester City have looked flat in the Premier League for some time with relegation looking an inevitability for most of the season but on Sunday they have the chance to derail Midlands rivals Nottingham Forest’s top-five pursuit.

It has been a seriously poor season from the Foxes, who have collected just 21 points from 35 games in the Premier League and will be playing Championship football next season.

But they will want to go down with a bang rather than a whimper and at least beat Southampton 2-0 at the King Power Stadium last Saturday.

That said, even the added motivation of putting a major dent in Forest’s hopes of Champions League qualification may not be enough to see them over the line on Sunday.

The win over Saints marked Leicester’s first home goal in the Premier League since early December and it is worth remembering they were playing a side who have now shipped 82 goals in the top flight this term.

Leicester have won just five league games all season and two of those victories came against Southampton, so a surprise win at Forest looks unlikely.

Tricky Trees can boost top-five prospects

This is a huge weekend for the Tricky Trees, who are stationed in sixth spot and can reflect on an amazing season, but it would feel like a missed opportunity if they do not make the top five, which secures Champions League football.

They will have targeted this as a must-win game, especially on a weekend when Newcastle and Chelsea are locking horns, and it should be a straightforward win.

Forest’s defensive discipline has evaporated recently but they played well in Monday’s 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace, who could put only three of their 20 shots on target.

Forest should shut out shotshy Leicester

Nuno Santo’s side have kept 13 clean sheets in the top flight this term and given Leicester’s struggles in front of goal, a win to nil for Forest is worth backing, while 2-0 appeals in the correct-score market.

Recent matches involving Forest have still been tight with four of their last five matches producing under 2.5 goals and two of their last three games settled by 2-0 scorelines.

They also won by a two-goal margin when they beat Leicester 3-1 back in October.

Chris Wood has struggled since his recent return and a better goalscorer bet could be Anthony Elanga, who can add to his tally of six Premier League goals this season.
