      Toulouse to Win

      Reason for tip

Jens Berthel Askou is a forward thinking manager and it is not surprising that Toulouse are putting up excellent expected goals numbers this season. Le Mans look to have a job keeping the Violets at bay.

      Toulouse 3-1

      Reason for tip

Both teams have scored in all of Le Mans’ six matches this season, while over 3.5 goals has landed in four of Toulouse’s last five contests. Playing a high-scoring away success could pay dividends and a 3-1 Toulouse win looks the way to go.

      Le Mans vs Toulouse Predictions

      • Four of Toulouse’s last five matches have gone over 3.5 goals
      • Both teams have scored in all Le Mans’ six matches this season
      • Le Mans have conceded 12 goals in their six games this term

Toulouse unlike to take 24 hours to break down Le Mans

Toulouse have won only one of their opening six Ligue 1 matches, but the Violets have been value for far more than a sole league success.

Jens Berthel Askou’s men have beaten Le Havre 3-2 and picked up points in games against Monaco, Lorient and Brest, but there should be more points on the board.

Toulouse are four points adrift of where the data would have them this term and the Violets put up stronger numbers than the home side when drawing 2-2 at Monaco on Saturday.

The expected goal figures of that tie finished 1.43 to 1.17 in favour of Askou’s side and that is a strong effort against a side sitting at the top of the French top flight after six matches.

Askou’s excellent work at Motherwell suggests that Toulouse will be a handful this term and the Violets rate a bet to see off Le Mans.

MUC 72 conceded 73 per cent possession and an xG of 4.25 when losing 3-1 at PSG last weekend and that heavy defeat may have left its mark.

Patrick Videira’s men have won only one of their six league matches this term, and while they are unbeaten at home, Le Mans have shipped five goals in three Stade Marie-Marvingt Ligue 1 contests.
