Oldham still fighting for survival

Oldham are outside the League Two relegation zone on goal difference, so any points they can pick up over the remaining five games of the campaign will be vital.

John Sheridan’s side lost 3-2 to promotion chasing Port Vale last time out, but have won two of their last three, beating Rochdale (at home) and Stevenage (away).

They head into this clash having lost half of their last eight at Boundary Park, but the remaining four saw them pick up three wins and a draw, and it’s not out of the question that they could spring a shock here.

Northampton faltering in recent weeks

Northampton may have kept more clean sheets than any other team in League Two, but they are struggling at the other end of the field, netting in just one of their last four games.

Jon Brady’s side drew 0-0 at home to Bradford last week, meaning they’ve won just one of those four outings, while they have lost three of their last four away from home.

Indeed, it is now just two victories in nine away from Sixfields for the Cobblers, who are just about clinging on to a place in the play-offs having been in the automatic promotion spots not so long ago.
