Osasuna have had a relatively good start to the new season, winning two, drawing to and losing just once in their first five games. That one loss was a heavy defeat to Valencia on home soil but they brushed themselves off and responded with a victory over a struggling Deportivo Alaves.

Real Betis took a while to get going but they have also lost just one of their first five matches, only suffering defeat at the hands of Real Madrid. Last time out may have taken the wind out of their sails somewhat as they conceded a 97th-minute equaliser against Espanyol.

With Osasuna riding high after their win, they can trouble a Real Betis side who may still be reeling after their recent result and who will also be without key man Victor Ruiz in the heart of their defence.

Jagoba Arrasate’s side has scored six goals in their last three games and should be able to get on the scoresheet here.

Manuel Pellegrini’s side will be eager to put that previous result behind them and claim victory here, they have an excellent record against Osasuna, they’ve won their last three games against the Basque side and have opened the scoring in seven of their last eight meetings with them.
