Osters IF vs Mjallby Predictions

Defensive issues should make for an entertaining contest

Osters have scored in each of their last five Allsvenskan games and Mjallby are likely to concede again on Saturday. Back over 2.5 goals at Visma Arena.

Mjallby, who lead the Allsvenskan with nine wins from their 14 games this season, take on an Osters side who are 15th in the table with just three wins so far.

Mjallby are hard to beat, having avoided defeat in nine of their last ten Allsvenskan games, and they have won four of their last six away matches. Osters have managed just one victory in their last ten home games.

Mjallby possess the most potent attack in the Allsvenskan, having scored 28 goals in their 14 games this season. They have scored three goals or more in five matches, including a recent 4-1 win over Degerfors. Osters have found the net in their last five league games, but they only managed to score once in three of those.

Over 2.5 goals has been a winning bet in six of Mjallby’s seven Allsvenskan away games this term and in seven of their last nine on the road.

Mjallby have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last five Allsvenskan away games and, with Osters having scored in each of their last five matches, there should be goals at Visma Arena.

A 2-1 away win for Mjallby looks a decent correct-score bet. No Allsvenskan team has played more games in which both sides have scored than Mjallby this season, and five of Osters’ seven defeats have been by a single goal.
