Plymouth Argyle Double Chance (Win or Draw)

Reason for tip

Plymouth Argyle have picked up points in their last two games and appear to have regained their confidence after a troubled spell. They can cause problems for a Leicester side that have failed to win four of their last five Championship away games, including Tuesday’s 1-0 defeat at relegation-threatened Millwall.

Draw 1-1

Reason for tip

The Foxes, who have won only one of their last four midweek Championship away games, could be forced to settle for a draw against the battling hosts. Plymouth drew their last home game 1-1 and have conceded exactly one goal in their last three games at Home Park. Leicester have not scored more than once in four of their last five Championship away trips.

Pilgrims can hamper Foxes’ progress

Plymouth Argyle are capable of confusing the Championship promotion race even further by denying Leicester City all three points on Friday night.

These are tough times for fans of the Foxes, who were expecting to be basking in the glory of a trophy lift by now but could instead be preparing for the playoffs.

Tuesday’s 1-0 defeat at relegation-threatened Millwall has put them firmly on the back foot heading into this Home Park trip to face another side scrapping for their lives.

Argyle are on the up after managerial move

Neil Dewsnip’s men grabbed a point from their midweek home clash against an in-form Queens Park Rangers side and definitely appear to be on the up.

The Pilgrims condemned Rotherham to the drop with a 1-0 win at New York Stadium last Friday and seem to have regained the confidence lost during a six-game run under Ian Foster where they took only one point.

Leicester will be expected to shake off their defeat in South Bermondsey quickly and record an easy win, but they have worse recent away from than QPR took to Home Park on Tuesday. Enzo Maresca’s side have failed to win four of their last five away league games and could come unstuck when they make a second tricky road trip of a crucial week.
