Wolverhampton vs West Bromwich Albion Predictions
- Wolves are unbeaten at home under Cesar Peixoto
- Both teams have scored in five of the last seven Black Country derbies
- West Brom have scored in their last seven away matches, winning four and losing three
Derby day chaos on the cards
The Black Country derby returns to Molineux with supporters for the first time in 14 years — and Sunday’s clash between Wolves and West Brom promises to be a fiery one.
Cesar Peixoto’s side were knocked out of the EFL Cup by Everton in midweek, but their league form remains solid. The Old Gold have taken four points from their two home matches, scoring six goals at Molineux and climbing to seventh despite playing a game fewer than most promotion rivals.
A late Raul Jimenez winner sealed victory over Sheffield United last time out in the Championship, but the Mexican’s knee injury means Adam Armstrong will lead the line here. Bertrand Traoré, who scored against West Brom back in 2020, could also feature.
Albion will be fresher for Molineux match
West Brom arrive fresher after a full week’s rest and full of belief. James Morrison’s men are joint‑top on 14 points and unbeaten in their last three league outings. The Baggies haven’t visited Molineux with fans since their infamous 5‑1 win in 2012, but they also claimed a 3‑2 victory behind closed doors in 2021 — proof they relish this fixture.
With both sides carrying momentum and derby intensity guaranteed, an end to end contest looks likely. Goals at both ends should also be on the cards and it would be no surprise to see the points shared at the end of a frantic 90 minutes.
