Preston vs Brighton Predictions

Going into the weekend, Brighton are just 2 points off the summit of the Championship and in fine form that suggests they could yet reclaim the position they held for much of the early part of the season. They have won 6 of their last 8 league games and the January addition of Anthony Knockaert has really pushed them on to another level in terms of their attacking play. The Seagulls have won their last two matches 4-0 away to Bristol City and at home to Leeds on Monday so couldn’t really go into this game with any more confidence.

Preston are in fine form too though. Like Brighton their only recent blip came in Cardiff where they were beaten 2-1 last weekend. They’d won 4 league games in a row prior to that though and are only 7 points off the top six so a play-off place cannot be completely ruled out and would represent a sensational achievement for the club promoted from League One via the play-offs last season.

These are certainly two of the division’s surprise packages and this could be a really good contest. Preston have won 5 of their last 6 home games but they have come unstuck surprisingly at home to Blackburn and Brentford over the past few months and the way Brighton are playing they will feel they can cause them problems. The Seagulls had been all but written off around January time when they were on an awful run but right now they look very well equipped to maintain their challenge until the end and it would no longer be a surprise to see them in the Premier League next year. They are playing the best football in the league right now and you backing Brighton Draw No Bet at 4/5 looks a smart move here.
