PSG vs Nice Predictions

High-scoring clash in the capital

Saturday’s Ligue 1 clash between Paris Saint-Germain and Nice at Parc des Princes promises goals. Four of the last six meetings between these sides have gone over 2.5 goals, and backing over 2.5 goals looks the best bet here.

Leaders PSG have six wins, three draws and one defeat from their ten games this season, while Nice are eighth in the table, having won five, drawn two, and lost three.

PSG are unbeaten in nine of their last ten Ligue 1 home games, but Nice are tough opponents. They are unbeaten in six of their last seven matches and beat Rennes 2-1 in their last away game last weekend.

Nice have struggled defensively in recent games, conceding on all four of their Ligue 1 away days this season. They have failed to keep a clean sheet in eight of their last ten league games and in 18 of their last 20 against PSG.

Both teams have been in goalscoring form. PSG have scored in five games in a row, including a 3-0 win over Brest last weekend, while Nice have scored at least twice in four successive Ligue 1 games and have found the net in all four of their away games this season.

Ligue 1 is averaging 3.1 goals a game this season and there have been over 2.5 goals in four of Nice’s last six league matches.

PSG may be able to edge out Nice in a closely-fought game, with a 2-1 home win the correct-score pick. Both teams had scored by the break the last time these two met in Ligue 1 in April, and there could be goals again here.
