PSV have scored 13 goals in five Champions League fixtures, but they are yet to keep a clean sheet in the competition and may concede against an Atletico Madrid side that have scored in four of their five outings in the Champions League.

      PSV vs Atletico Madrid Predictions

      • PSV have won their last four home matches, scoring 16 goals during that period.
      • Atletico Madrid have lost their last two away fixtures.
      • The Red and Whites have scored at least once in their last 16 matches.

PSV can claim big European scalp

PSV thrashed Napoli 6-2 in their last European encounter at the Philips Stadion and that victory forms part of a four-match winning streak at home for Peter Bosz’s side, who will fancy their chances of overcoming La Liga giants Atletico Madrid.

Diego Simeone’s visitors have stumbled in their last two outings, going down at Barcelona and Athletic Bilbao, while their two away fixtures in the league phase of the Champions League have ended in defeats to Liverpool (3-2) and Arsenal (4-0).

It is 14 matches in all competitions without defeat for PSV, who put in a fantastic display in matchday five to beat Premier League champions Liverpool 4-1 at Anfield to boost their hopes of an automatic last-16 spot.

      Pepi can punish Atleti

USA international Ricardo Pepi netted for the second match in a row in Saturday’s 2-0 win at Heerenveen, taking his tally for the season to seven in all competitions and leaving him joint-third in the club’s scoring charts.

The 22-year-old has scored twice in the Champions League – in the thumping of Napoli and the 1-1 draw against Olympiakos – while he looked sharp when coming off the bench in a late cameo against the Reds on Merseyside.

Up against an Atletico defence without a clean sheet in the league phase in Europe, Pepi can take advantage and find the back of the net for the eight time this season.
