Both Teams To Score and Over 2.5 Match Goals

Reason for tip

Real Madrid snapped their four-game winless run with a 2-1 victory over Alaves on Tuesday but that made it eight games without a clean sheet and they are likely to be tested by Real Betis, who have scored 12 goals in their last seven matches. Both teams to score and over 2.5 goals has landed in Real Madrid’s last five away games and the trend should continue in Seville.

Real Madrid 2-1

Reason for tip

While Real Betis should have enough to score, it is hard to see them defeating Real Madrid. Manuel Pellegrini’s hosts have won just two of their last 12 games and the 5-1 hammering they suffered in the reverse fixture does little to suggest they can keep a star-studded Real Madrid attack from leading the visitors to victory.

Real Betis vs Real Madrid Predictions

  • Both teams have scored in each of Real Madrid’s last eight games
  • The same bet has landed in Real Betis’ last four matches
  • Betis have won only one of their last six games and Real Madrid have managed just one victory in five

Attacks to reign supreme in Seville

Both Real Madrid and Real Betis snapped winless runs on Tuesday and each will be keen to build on their positive results when they do battle at Estadio de La Cartuja on Friday.

Alvaro Arbeloa’s side are trying to keep up their pursuit of table-topping rivals Barcelona, so it was essential they beat Alaves in the week after two La Liga games without a win.

Beat them they did, with Vinicius Junior and Kylian Mbappe doing the damage in a 2-1 win, but it will be a worry that another game has passed without a clean sheet, and it is looking increasingly likely a shaky defence will cost them the title.

Real Madrid have gone eight games without a shutout and that streak is unlikely to be snapped at Real Betis, who have been flexing their attacking muscles of late.

In-form forwards can rack up the goals

Manuel Pellegrini’s hosts have scored 12 goals in their last seven matches and red-hot Abde Ezzalzouli’s one goal and two assists in Tuesday’s 3-2 win at Girona proves they have the talent to hurt a porous Madrid defence.

Shutting out Mbappe and Vinicius may prove more difficult, of course, but Betis have more than enough to play their part in a Seville spectacle on Friday.

The reverse fixture finished 5-1 in Madrid’s favour and with over 2.5 goals and both teams to score landing in the visitors’ last five away games, a thriller is likely.
