Oviedo can frustrate Atleti

Atletico Madrid secured a 4-1 win over Club Brugge on Tuesday to book their spot in the kast 16 of the Champions League but they may struggle to break down La Liga’s bottom club Real Oviedo at the Nuevo Carlos Tartiere on Saturday evening.

Atleti’s road form has been an issue all season and their struggles away from home are the reason they aren’t challenging for the title. Los Colchoneros have won just three of their 12 La Liga trips and the quick turnaround after a European night also works against them here.

Oviedo saw a six-game unbeaten run at home ended in a 2-1 defeat to Athletic Bilbao in their last home game but they followed that up with a point at Real Sociedad, and they can at least avoid defeat against an Atleti side who have failed to win five of their last seven trips – including each of their last three in La Liga.

Goals could be in short supply
