Oviedo still in the hunt

Real Oviedo’s quest for a return to the top flight for the first time in over two decades sees them six points off the top six with ten games left, but they need to find some more consistency to get into the play-offs.

José Ángel Ziganda’s side have suffered a couple of defeats lately, including a shock reversal against Real Sociedad B, but that is one of only two losses at home in the league this season.

They are unbeaten in their last two, including a 3-0 hammering of promotion chasing Real Vallodolid, and they come into this clash having won six of their last ten at Carlos Tartiere Stadium.

Fuenlabrada running out of time

With just 30 points left to play for, Fuenlabrada are deep in trouble in the relegation zone and their terrible away form leaves little reason to be confident of them getting a result here.

Jose Ramón Sandoval took charge earlier this month and picked up a first win over Malaga last time out, but his side are on a run of 14 away fixtures without a victory, losing eight of the last ten.

They have picked up just two points on the road against sides in the top half of the table, while each of those recent eight defeats have seen them concede at least twice.

This should be a straight forward win for Real Oviedo, so a home victory is my initial selection, with 3-1 to the hosts my correct score prediction.
