Real Salt Lake vs Colorado Rapids Betting Tips & Predictions

Real Salt Lake had an extremely disappointing season last year as they finished second from bottom in the MLS Western Conference, but they look to be righting that wrong so far this term.

They remain unbeaten after two draws and two wins in the MLS so far, with draws against Orlando City and Portland Timbers coming away from home and wins coming against Seattle Sounders and Sporting Kansas City.

The only team that did worse in the Western Conference than Real Salt Lake last season is Colorado Rapids, who finished bottom of the table with just 37 points from their 34 matches.

They, like their opponents, look to be on the up this season. They did begin the new campaign with a 1-0 defeat at San Jose Earthquakes, but since then they have managed to beat LA Galaxy and Toronto FC, either side of a draw at DC United.

Real Salt Lake’s success so far this season has come from an improvement to their attacking play. They have scored in every game so far this season, but as of yet haven’t kept a clean sheet. In fact, Real Salt Lake have conceded in 12 of their last 13 matches.

Colorado Rapids have managed to get themselves on the scoresheet in nine of their last 11 MLS outings, but away from home have only kept one clean sheet in their last seven games.

This makes odds of 19/20 for Both Teams to Score look excellent value for money, and I’m backing that along with a 2-1 Real Salt Lake win at 15/2.
