Roma vs Braga Predictions

• Roma were decisive 0-2 first leg winners in Portugal last week.
• I Giallorossi have won five of their seven Europa League games this term (D1, L1). Their sole defeat against CSKA Sofia (3-1) came after already qualifying for the knockout stages.
• Braga’s only serious away test in the competition thus far resulted in a 4-0 loss against Leicester City.

Roma to Ease Through at Stadio Olimpico

Goals from Edin Dzeko and Borja Mayoral secured Roma a comfortable 0-2 first leg lead in Portugal last week and I Giallorossi can pick apart Braga once again in this Thursday’s second instalment.

Braga have no option but to chase at Stadio Olimpico as they need at least two goals just to force extra time, and it’s easy to envisage the hosts soaking things up and punishing Carlos Carvalhal’s side on the counter.

The visitors are going well domestically and are in contention to challenge for a UEFA Champions League slot next season, though they have lost three of their last six Primeira Liga games on the road.

Their only serious away test in this competition came against Leicester City where they were ruthlessly exposed 4-0, so there’s little to suggest that they can lay a glove on Roma here, let alone overturn their significant arrears.
