Rotherham vs Blackburn Rovers Predictions

Rotherham’s draw at Wolves last time out guaranteed their survival with 2 games to spare which is a wonderful achievement given where they were only a couple of months ago. A stunning 11 match unbeaten run has fired them to safety and they can now play with a bit more freedom having fought hard for draws in their last 3 games. Neil Warnock has installed a real defensive resiliance in them which had been lacking for the entire campaign up until his appointment but they’ve also looked good going forward when they’ve needed to be. Their 4-0 win over MK Dons and 3 goal comeback against Derby has demonstrated they can cause teams problems and now the pressure is off they are likely to be positive in this game and look for the win.

Blackburn’s 2-2 draw with Bristol City last time out also guaranteed they will be in the Championship for another season although they have never been in serious peril. Their form is not great though and they’ve failed to win any of their last 6 league games, losing 3 of them. Paul Lambert will leave the club at the end of the season it was announced this week and whoever succeeds him is going to have to do well in the transfer market if he is to get this club competing at the other end of the division.

The bookies still haven’t really reacted to Rotherham’s fine form and they are only slight favourites to win this despite them having beaten better sides than Blackburn in recent weeks. The fact that 4 of their last 5 games and 3 of Blackburn’s last 4 have ended level suggests the draw no bet market is a good place to be here but the Millers certainly look the more likely winners and backing Rotherham Draw No Bet at 8/11 surely offers value here.
