      Rotherham vs Hull Predictions

After a brief upturn in form, Rotherham are back to their bad old ways and come into this game on the back of 3 consecutive defeats and in 23rd place. Whatever happens here they’ll be in the relegation zone at Christmas and they have lost 9 of their last 12 games and they may find this tough against a Hull side that is bidding for promotion and has plenty of genuine quality in their ranks.

They also have a much more sizable squad than their opponents and can afford to make a few changes here without weakening their side, something which might prove crucial given these clubs have both played 3 matches this week.

Hull have won the previous two although they had to scrap for them. A 1-0 victory over Bolton last weekend was perhaps to be expected but they were in trouble with 30 minutes to go against Reading in midweek, trailing to a Nick Blackman goal. However they responded well through Abel Hernandez and Jake Livermore netted in injury time to seal the win.

The Tigers have won 4 of their last 7 away games too and look to have come out the other side of their brief wobble when they lost 3 games on the spin in all competitions. They should have too much quality for Rotherham here and are good value for the win at 17/20.

Hull have an excellent defensive record, conceding just 14 goals in 21 matches so far in the league while Rotherham have the worst in the division having let in 38 Championship goals so far this season. Neil Redfearn looks to have improved them slightly in that regard but they’ve failed to score in their last two and the situation is looking pretty bleak for the Millers now.

The visitors have numerous players who arrived for fairly sizable transfer fees even by Premier League standards and the gulf in class should be apparent here so consider backing a strong Hull side to win 2-0 at 13/2.
