Rotherham vs Leeds Predictions
- Both teams to score has landed in seven of Rotherham’s eight home games this season.
- Leeds have conceded in five of their last six Championship matches.
- Dan James has scored three goals in his last three league appearances.
Contrasting fortunes for Rotherham and Leeds
Leeds followed their potentially season-defining win over Championship leaders Leicester with a 2-1 triumph over Plymouth before the international break and should get another three points on the board in Rotherham, although they may not have it all their own way at the New York Stadium.
The Whites, who have won six of their last seven league outings, are now eight points adrift of the runaway pair of Leicester and Ipswich but have momentum on their side heading into the crucial winter period.
By contrast, Rotherham come into this game off the back of a 5-0 drubbing in Watford and sit 22nd in the table, although they do offer more hope going forward in front of their own fans.
Goals at both ends expected at New York Stadium
The Millers have scored in all eight home games this season and that includes meetings with Leicester and Ipswich. They have only kept one clean sheet in these eight outings, though, so keeping a Leeds side that have scored ten goals in their last five games at bay is an unlikely prospect.
For this reason, backing both teams to score is advised and a 2-1 win for the visitors looks a solid correct score option, too. Both of Rotherham’s home defeats this season have come via a 2-1 scoreline and Leeds have won 2-1 in two of their last six league games.
Anytime goalscorer punters should consider Daniel James. The Wales winger has scored four Championship goals this season and three of those have come in his last three appearances, including the opener against Plymouth last time out.
