SC Farense vs Tondela Predictions

Tondela’s goal-trading tendency takes the eye

Tondela aren’t yet certain of avoiding the relegation playoff heading into their trip south to Faro.

The Gold and Greens let a lead slip at home to Belenenses last week that leaves them six points better off than Boavista in 16^th with two games remaining.

Pako Ayestaran’s side have tended to trade goals on their travels, leading to a majority of games when both teams have scored, and defensively they are prone to the odd blunder.

We’ll still take them to avoid defeat against the Primeira Liga’s worst home side in terms of number of wins and joint-worst off for home points.

Farense have been much tighter at the back than their mid-table opponents but are facing relegation largely due to taking only four points from their last nine at the Estadio do Sao Luis.

Jorge Costa’s team have to go for the win and hope for favours elsewhere – which should lead to an entertaining contest.

Tondela concede almost twice as many as they score away from home but although Farense create plenty, Costa lacks a dependable goalscorer so latch onto the Over 2.5 Goals bet instead.
