Serbia vs Armenia Betting Tips

Armenia and Serbia both managed to pick up a point in their opening game of the Euro 2016 qualifiers when they played out a 1-1 draw in Armenia.

It took until the 73^rd minute before the deadlock was broken, with Armenia taking the lead before Zoran Tosic scored a 90^th minute equaliser.

But both teams have failed to pick up any points in their following four matches in Group I, with Serbia actually managing to lose points.

This was due to a series of unfortunate incidents in their home match against Albania. The Albanians then left the field and refused to return to play the remainder of the game. After much appealing on both sides, Albania were eventually awarded a 3-0 win and Serbia deducted three points.

This leaves them on the worst points tally in the whole of Euro 2016 qualifying with -2 points. A win on Friday could take them level on points with Armenia and send them back into positive figures.

Serbia both teams are very unlikely to achieve qualification now, with 3^rd placed Albania sitting 12 points above Serbia and nine points above Armenia with four games left to play.

It’s quite disappointing for Serbia, as they have a squad full of good players who would be expecting to reach the finals next summer. But they simply haven’t been good enough in attack or defence to justify their place there.

Armenia were never likely to challenge for the top three spots in Group I, but they have performed admirably against the likes of Portugal and Denmark.

They only lost 1-0 to Portugal away from home and played their part in a 3-2 match at home to the star studded team. In fact, they haven’t lost by more than one goal in any of their Euro 2016 qualifiers so far.

Considering the poorness of Serbia so far, I think Armenia will give them a good run for their money on Friday. Odds of 2.250 for an Armenia +1.0 Asian Handicap Win look like very good value.
