Bulgarians to scrape through

Ludogorets needed a stoppage time strike from Cauly Oliveira to snatch victory in last week’s first leg in Razgrad and we should be set for another close encounter this Tuesday as the Belarussian champions look to get back on terms.

This week’s second leg will be played in Belgrade which is an obvious negative for the official hosts, though they did extremely well to push Ludogorets so close when rated significant underdogs on the road seven days ago.

Ludogorets are the side with the strongest European pedigree and regularly negotiate the qualifying rounds as they’re likely to here, though Shakhtyor are fancied to provide The Eagles with another firm test.

Shakhtyor scrambled over the line to win their domestic title by a single point last season, but they’re absolutely flying this term with 13 wins and one draw posted so far. If they perform as they did last week, the Belarussians can get a draw on the night here, though that ultimately won’t be enough to see them progress.
