Sheffield Wednesday vs Hull City Predictions

Hull should be backed to beat an out-of-form Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough on Friday.

They are fourth in the Championship, having won 11, drawn four and lost seven of their 21 games this season, while Sheffield Wednesday are propping up the table with just one win so far.

Hull maintained their winning run last weekend, beating West Brom 1-0 with their only shot on target. The betting suggested there would not be much between the teams, but Hull edged to victory to the delight of those who backed them at 7/4.

The hosts are enduring a rough spell. Sheffield Wednesday have lost nine of their last 11 Championship home matches and have been beaten in their last three.

The visitors have the edge up front. Hull, on the other hand, have scored two or more goals in 13 of their 22 league matches and are on a run of five consecutive games with a goal.

Hull to get a 1-0 away win looks a decent correct-score bet. At least one of the teams did not score in five of the last seven Championship meetings between these sides, and Hull were 1-0 winners against West Brom in their last league game.
