Marseille Draw No Bet

Reason for tip

Marseille are on a five-match winning streak across all competitions, which includes victories against PSG, Strasbourg and Ajax. They can edge a tight game with goals in Lisbon.

Marseille 2-1

Reason for tip

Sporting Lisbon have been scoring and conceding goals in most of their recent matches. The Lions have scored in 18 straight European home group games and look likely to register against a Marseille side that conceded twice at Le Havre on Saturday. But they scored six and should have the firepower to emerge with a 2-1 win.

Mason Greenwood To Score Anytime

Reason for tip

Mason Greenwood scored four goals in Marseille’s 6-2 win at the weekend and could be the key to unlocking Sporting defence with his close control and dribbling.

Marseille to make their point in Lisbon

Sporting CP host Marseille on Wednesday night in Matchday Three of the Champions League when the Portuguese side will be looking to bounce back from their narrow defeat in Naples.

The Lions kicked off their campaign with a Francesco Trincao-inspired 4-1 win over Kairat Almaty but fell 2-1 to Napoli at Stadio Diego Armando Maradona earlier this month despite a spirited performance.

Rui Borges’ charges warmed up for this clash with a 3-2 extra-time win over Paços Ferreira in the Taca de Portugal, extending their unbeaten run at Estadio José Alvalade.

Greenwood could be the key

But this clash with a red-hot Marseille side promised to be much tougher. Roberto De Zerbi’s side arrive in Lisbon flying high after a 6-2 demolition of Le Havre and a 4-0 win over Ajax in their last Champions League contest, although Les Phocéens need to break a losing habit on the road in this competition.

Marseille have lost 11 of their last 12 away games in the Champions League, but they could hardly in better shape to secure a rare three points outside of the Velodrome. Mason Greenwood, who scored four in their last Ligue 1 match remains their biggest goal threat and could hold the key to unlocking the hosts’ defence with his dribbling ability.

Back the visitors to pinch a 2-1 away win with the main recommendation here being Marseille in the Draw no Bet market.
