TSG Hoffenheim to Win and Over 2.5 Match Goals

Reason for tip

St. Pauli have lost three straight Bundesliga matches while Hoffenheim have taken seven points from their three away league games in 2025-26. Also,  at least three goals have been scored in four of Hoffenheim’s six Bundesliga outings.

TSG Hoffenheim 2-1

Reason for tip

St Pauli have stopped scoring of late, but they have a decent record of getting on the board at home. They have shipped multiple goals in two of their last three games, but only once more than twice in a game this season. Hoffenheim scored four at Union Berlin and two at Leverkusen in wins, and can nick this 2-1.

St Pauli vs TSG Hoffenheim Predictions

  • St. Pauli have lost three straight Bundesliga matches
  • Hoffenheim have taken seven points from their three away league games in 2025-26
  • Over 2.5 goals has landed in four of Hoffenheim’s six Bundesliga outings

Hoffenheim can punish leaky Pauli defence

St. Pauli’s return to the Bundesliga has hit a rough patch, and their problems could get worse when Hoffenheim visit the Millerntor-Stadion on Sunday.

Alexander Blessin’s side have lost three on the bounce, including a 1-0 defeat to Werder Bremen last time out, and their defensive frailties are becoming a concern. The Hamburg outfit have conceded nine goals in six matches and failed to score in two of their last three.

Hoffenheim, meanwhile, are also winless in three but all of those matches were against clubs in the current top eight, including leaders Bayern Munich. Christian Ilzer’s men have shown more attacking intent and probably should have taken a point against Koln last time out.

Sinsheim side’s strikers carry a greater threat

They created several chances in that 1-0 home defeat and should find more joy against a St. Pauli side that’s struggled to contain wide play and set pieces. This fixture has produced goals in recent years, and with both teams averaging over 1.5 goals conceded per game, backing over 2.5 goals looks a strong play.

Hoffenheim’s attacking duo of Fisnik Asllani and Tim Lemperle have combined for six goals this season, and their movement should stretch a depleted Pauli backline missing a couple of regulars. Expect Hoffenheim to bounce back with a win and goals to flow in a lively Sunday clash.
