Stoke vs Bournemouth Betting Tips

Stoke looked good for the first time this season when they played against Leicester last weekend, and against a lesser team they probably would have won. But Leicester turned on the style again and came from two goals behind to keep Stoke winless.

However, there were positives to be taken from this game. Bojan made his first start this season after his cruciate ligament injury, and he changed the whole way Stoke approached the game.

He was a classy figure who looked at home creating chances, and he rounded his performance off with a well taken goal after just 13 minutes. With him back in the fray, Stoke are bound to improve.

But Stoke still only have three points from their opening six games, a tally which they will be desperate to improve.

They managed to get their first real win of the season when they played Fulham in the Capital One Cup though, and I expect that 1-0 win to lift the morale of the squad after their poor start.

Championship winners Bournemouth lost their first two Premier League games, with 1-0 defeats to Aston Villa and Liverpool.

But they picked themselves up with an incredible 4-3 win over West Ham the following week, and they have since scored in all of their five matches in all competitions.

This has included wins against Sunderland and Hartlepool, with draws against Leicester and Preston North End (Bournemouth won on penalties) and a defeat to Norwich making up their results.

These two sides haven’t met since they played each other in League One back in 2002, and both teams have come a long way since then.

With Bournemouth’s recent attacking record, I can see them scoring at Stoke on Saturday, but I think Stoke will take their first victory of the season. Odds of 4/1 for Stoke to Win and Both Teams to Score look too good to pass up on as well.
