Stoke vs Crystal Palace Predictions
Stoke’s goalless draw at the out of form West Ham last weekend was a bit of an anticlimax after their excellent 2-0 victory over Manchester City, but it’s a decent result nonetheless.
They remain in good form, and they come into this match having only lost one of their last eight in all competitions, winning five times. In fact, they have only lost twice since September, a run stretching back 14 games.
This still only leaves Stoke in 13th position in the Premier League though, although as the mid-table race tightens up this is a deceiving position. They are nine points clear of the drop zone and only three points behind Tottenham Hotspur in 5th place.
Crystal Palace reside one position below Spurs in 6th, trailing the top four hopefuls on goal difference after enjoying their own spell of good form.
They have only lost one of their last six in the Premier League and have picked up impressive victories against Southampton, Newcastle, and Liverpool.
This ended their disappointing dip in form in October and took them back to their early season performances.
Crystal Palace have only failed to score in one of their last five Premier League matches, although they have conceded in four of those matches as well. Stoke have found the net on four occasions over their last six fixtures.
This good form combined with both sides’ impressive attacking forces and backing both sides to find the net on Saturday is looking rather promising. Past history between the sides back this prediction up as well, with four of the last five meetings seeing both teams score.
This makes odds of 10/11 for this outcome look pretty good value all things considered, and I’m backing that along with a 1-1 draw at 5/1.
