Suriname vs Mexico Predictions
- Mexico were 3-0 winners last time these two met
- Suriname’s last seven games have gone over 2.5 goals
- Five of Mexico’s last seven wins have been to nil
Mexico can pick up comfortable three points
Mexico failed to make it out of their World Cup group despite winning their final game against Saudi Arabia and El Tri will be hoping their Nations League campaign is more successful. They began with a win over Suriname before a 1-1 draw with Jamaica, who they face on Sunday.
Wins in both of those games will be enough to see them qualify for both the Nations League finals and the Gold Cup and they should be able to start with a comfortable success over Suriname. Their opponents are ranked 139th in the world and look unlikely to cause an upset.
Suriname may not offer much resistance
Suriname arrive on the back of a decent set of performances in the ABCS Tournament but this is a significant step up in class on that and they have taken just one point from the nine available in the Nations League so far, conceding seven times in the process. Mexico are up to 15th in the FIFA rankings and should be able to demonstrate the gulf in class between this pair.
