Swansea should be backed to beat Oxford at home in the Championship on Saturday. The visitors have been poor on the road this season, with just two wins in 22 away games.

Swansea are six places above Oxford in the table, but both teams have lost more games than they’ve won this season. The hosts sit 11th with 17 wins and 19 defeats, while Oxford are 17th having won 13 and lost 19.

Swansea have been in good form at home, winning five of their last six Championship games. They come into this match on the back of three consecutive victories at home.

They have kept five clean sheets in their last six home games in the Championship and are solid favourites. They have won their last four Championship games as favourites, and backing them in this situation would have resulted in a 3.01-unit profit, with 11 wins from 21 such games.

Oxford have been in patchy form recently, with three wins, one draw and two defeats in their last six games. Their biggest-priced win was 1-0 over Sheffield Wednesday at odds of 9/2, but they also lost to leaders Leeds and QPR.

They have been disappointing in front of goal away from home this season, scoring just 15 goals in 22 games – an average of 0.68 goals a game on the road.

A 2-0 home win for Swansea looks the best correct-score bet. Four of Swansea’s last six Championship games and each of Oxford’s last four have seen under 2.5 goals, but six of Oxford’s 19 defeats this season have been by a two-goal margin.
