      Swansea City to Win

      Reason for tip

Wrexham have failed to win any of their last seven away games and they managed only one shot on target in the latest 1-0 loss at Hull. Swansea are making small steps under manager Vitor Matos and can claim a third straight home success.

      Swansea City 1-0

      Reason for tip

Wrexham have failed to score in four of their last six away games so Swansea may be able to edge victory and could claim a third straight home clean sheet, with 1-0 the preference for correct-score bettors.

      Swansea City vs Wrexham Predictions

      • Swansea have won their last two home league games to nil
      • Wrexham are winless in seven away league matches
      • The Red Dragons have failed to score in four of their last six away games

Improving Swans to edge past Welsh rivals

A sell-out crowd is expected as Swansea host Welsh rivals Wrexham for the first time in over a decade and home advantage could be key for the steadily-improving Swans.

Swansea manager Vitor Matos says he will be treating the match as a derby despite a geographical distance over more than 100 miles and Wrexham’s new-found fame thanks to powerful owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob Mac adds an extra element of spice.

But Swansea have won their last two home games against Portsmouth and Oxford and they were far from disgraced in Saturday’s 2-1 loss at seventh-placed Stoke, having edged the shot count 14-8.

A record of three defeats and two wins under Matos shows that there is plenty of work to be done but the Portuguese manager has delivered improved performances and Wrexham are hardly in flying form.

The Red Dragons have won only two of their last eight Championship clashes and their latest 2-2 draw at home to Watford means that they are winless in four.

Wrexham are the Championship’s draw specialists this season with ten stalemates in 21 outings and are five points above the Swans in the standings.

However, Phil Parkinson’s side have failed to win any of their last seven away games and they managed only one shot on target in the latest 1-0 loss at Hull.

Wrexham have failed to score in four of their last six away games so Swansea may be able to edge victory and could claim a third straight home clean sheet, with 1-0 the preference for correct-score bettors.
