Switzerland have put together a very strong qualifying campaign and all they need to all but secure their place at Euro 2016 is to win a simple game at home against San Marino.

There’s no disgrace in losing to England, though it doesn’t necessarily bode well for their hopes at the major championships this summer. They’ve scored 16 goals and conceded eight through eight games. Take the England games out of the equation and they’ve tallied 16 and conceded only four.

It’s another qualifying campaign and San Marino are win-less once again. It’s hard to feel optimistic, they’ve scored just once and conceded 27 times. They did tally their first goal of the campaign in their latest game away against Lithuania.

They won’t see much of the ball in this game and we think Switzerland will find a way to score their fair share of goals in this one.

1. Switzerland will dominate

There’s no real reason to think that this game will play out in any other way than Switzerland dominating and controlling the action. They should score goals and San Marino’s away form is bad enough to confidently predict a thrashing.

2. Five goals is a lot of goals for a team that doesn’t score a lot

Switzerland are a good team, but the level of clinical play in their game has been questioned. We think five goals might just be too much for the Swiss here.
