The New Saints vs Glentoran Predictions
BETTING TIP – DOUBLE CHANCE – GLENTORAN OR DRAW
CORRECT SCORE PREDICTION – 2-1 To GLENTORAN
- The New Saints have won 13 of their last 16 home matches.
- Glentoran have won eight of their last 11 away games.
- Glentoran are averaging 1.9 away goals per game over their last 11 road trips.
Glens’ away record merits respect
The New Saints entertain Glentoran in the second leg of their Europa Conference League tie on Thursday evening.
Anthony Limbrick’s side have given themselves a decent chance of progression after a 1-1 draw in east Belfast last week.
There were plenty of positives to take from the performance too – not least the brilliant individual goal scored by Leo Smith to open the scoring.
Three summer signings made their debuts and TNS should be better for that first taste of competitive action since May.
Glentoran found ways to trouble them at The Oval and could easily have run out comfortable winners last week had they taken their chances.
The visitors offer the best value in the betting and we see no reason why not to take the Glens to gain a positive result in Oswestry.
Mike McDermott’s side have a superb recent away record with eight victories in their last 11 road trips, and are worthy of support in the Double Chance market.
Only one of those last eleven away games has ended in defeat for Glentoran, which is why we are very happy with the odds on Glentoran or Draw here.
Take Glentoran to win 2-1 because the New Saints rarely fail to score at home and Glentoran are averaging just shy of two goals per away game since mid-February.
